Also I found that its way easier to use Sprint hot spot than wifi tether app. In the back of my head I'm still thinking I'll get charged though just because its Sprint.

You might want to check out Virus' Airborne ROMs if you don't want Sense. They have the Sense launcher removed and replaced with LauncherPro. Some of the HTC apps are still in there but other than that, Sense is pretty much gone. And yes 4G does work in these ROMs.
