It appears that my tablet will only connect to Verizon when I have a 4G signal. How do I change that?

Well this is disappointing. 338 looks and not one response.

You don't give very much information to go on. What are you trying to do? WiFi? Connect to other vendors? If you want help you need to be much more specific.

I'm trying to connect with Verizon. When I am traveling, I can see that my verizon phone has a 3g signal, but my tablet only connects to verizon when I have a 4g signal. If it drops below 4g, all is lost.

Try going to SETTINGS > CONNECTIONS > MORE NETWORKS > MOBILE NETWORKS > Click on NETWORK MODE and select LTE/WCDMA/3G (auto connect)

And if the advice given does not pan out, for the rates we pay Verizon, they should certainly help you get connected appropriately. My tab s is only wifi.

Thanks Ekendraed, although the menu layout is different, i had tried that already. F2, I called Verizon. their suggestion was to drive to a spot where I new there was 3g only and then call them back from there. That's what I'l try to do today or tomorrow. Thanks for your responses and I'll let you all know the outcome. At this point I may tell Verizon they can have it back.

When I bought mine from Verizon and read up on it, that's what my impression was about it, 4 G and WiFi only. Where I live there is no 4 G so I rely solely on WiFi at the house. And if I travel as long as there's 4G signal I'm ok.
