4g problems??

my phone seems to to be slow and i got the mytouch 4g so it would be fast.
is there a way to turn it on or something? or do i have to call tmobile?

Did you just get it? Are you sure you have HSPA+ in your area?

I just checked and it says its in my area. im in south florida.

what are your download speeds if you use the speedtest app?

download 2168 kbps and upload 133 kbps

download is a little low but high enough to be hspa+. upload is slow no matter what. Did you do more than one to make sure it's consistently that speed?

It's slow enough that if it stays that way I would call T-Mobile and ask if they've been having problems with service in your area. The other thing they will try to get you to do is a factory reset. Whether or not you actually do it is up to you. Whether or not it will fix the problem is hard to say. If you do it you'll be starting from scratch. Bone stock phone.

If you don't then just tell them that you already did and the problem stayed the same.

Did you also try to toggle airplane mode on and enough to reestablish a connection to the network?

Hoping they light Tampa up soon with the 42mbps like they did Orlando
recently.

It seems like my speeds here in Orlando just keep getting faster. Did some tests over the weekend and regularly broke 8megs while in Celebration. Yeah, it really is awesome. The reason I switched to TMo.
