4gb of storage on gear live and lg G ?

Does anyone know what the 4gb of storage will be used for? I read a article awhile back that android wear will only relay notifications and have no standalone apps? a standalone music player on android wear will have me sold.

The music player is my guess as well, however there was talk of putting .apk's onto the watch as well at I/O. So, perhaps that plays a hand in it.
