4GB Rom?

In the Android Central hands on video, when he gets to the SD and phone storage part, it says there is only 1GB available internal space for apps and such. I thought the Inspire was going to make 4GB available for this and that was the one advantage it had over the Desire HD. If it is only 1GB I wonder if i'm better off getting an unlocked Desire HD where side loading and hot spot features won't be locked down. Any thoughts?
