I have optioned my videos and photos to be saved on the SD card. They all go there EXCEPT 4k 60fps videos! When the recording 4k 60fps videos, I see a message stating they will be saved to internal storage and they are. Can 4k 60fps videos be saved to the SD card or is it not possible?

Also, I do not see any difference when I turn off or on the HEVC format. The 4k 60fps videos seem to be always recorded in that format as my Win7 PC will not play the videos. A HEVC codec on my PC can fix that issue but for now I want the 60fps videos to be H.264 the same as 4k 30fps.

Has anyone experienced these issues?

Thanks.

4K videos being saved to internal storage has been a Samsung thing for a while. A waste really, specially if you got an SD card that's rated for 4K video recording.

As for incompatibility issues, do you need your videos to be in H.264? HEVC is plenty smooth enough if you install it to your PC.

Thanks for letting me know about 4k storage location with Samsung. I had not found that anywhere online yet.

Yes I have a 128GB U3 card that I wish I could store the videos on. I bought it specifically for that purpose. :-(

I'll install H.265 player soon.

Thanks again for the reply.

If you shoot in manual to make use of RAW capture it saves to internal storage as well, been this way since the S7. It's because it requires fast storage, and it's easier to force it to internal memory than risk users complaining of dropped frames and slow capture speeds because they used an old slow card.
