Yes it does, haven't tried it yet so can't say.

Pretty sure it does but what's the point of having 4K if nobody can see it in 4K? There aren't 4K phones and the TVs and PCs are really expensive, just takes up more storage

It seems to be a feature that we have on this device because we can have it. Most of us don't have 4k TV. But we might in the future. And bat least we have the ability to record in 4K resolution for future use. Also it is a feature to help future proof our devices.

I'll tell you in 6 years when I can afford a TV to tell the difference on. So far, here is the difference: IT TAKES UP A LOT OF STORAGE.
