I want to update my nexus 5 to lollipop 5.0..but i m confused whether to go for ota update or factory image?? Ota is always safe bt i have heard that those who hav alrdy updated ota are experiencing more problems than the one who has installed factory image..

OTA means that there can be interference, the connection could drop out for a microsecond, etc. Doing it from an image at least insures that (barring a power failure or a hardware failure) there's a pretty good chance that what ends up in the phone is exactly what was in the file.

Of course doing it from a file, if you don't know how to do it properly, could brick the phone, and then you have to talk fast to convince the manufacturer or carrier that it was an OTA update that went bad (which makes it their responsibility). But if you've updated Nexi (or is that Nexuses) before with no problem, 5.0 won't be any different.
