5.1.1, did AT&T roll it out yet or did I miss it?

I see that other US carriers have rolled out 5.1.1 and at least on my S6 Edge I have not received it yet .... Just curious

This is not life on the edge.

Thanks everyone for your replies, I though for some reason I was behind or one of the last to get the roll out ;)

Nope, but we (AT&T customers) are being left behind by the company.....they don't even have the courtesy of announcing when they plan on releasing the update.

Just received my 5.1.1 update from sprint today, hope at&t follows shortly. i know how hard it is to wait, had a Droid turbo for 6 months...

What makes it worse IMO is that AT&T rolled out 5.1.1 to a 2013 Moto X?

I have heard that the battery drain issue is actually a little worse on 5.1.1 so I wouldn't hold my breath.

In my experience, in both of my S6 and S6 edge, battery life was always contant, 5+ hours of SoT on Weekdays and 6+ hours of SoT on Weekends, right after both updated to 5.1.1, that was reduced by at least 30 minutes some day and up to 45 minutes other days. It's still very good battery life but definitely 5.1.1 (5.1 in general as the G4 I had for a week was giving me worst battery life than my S6 edge) has reduced the battery life in my devices, Android OS seems to be higher on the battery stats, and the Stay Awake time is way too high with what I remember having before. Problem is that Android OS is one if not the worst to troubleshoot or try to find a fix for battery drain.

Here is the problem,
getting the 5.1.1 update guarantees absolutely nothing. Other's who have the update have reported hit and miss when it comes to battery life and the infamous 'memory leak' bug. I know it sucks to wait for an update but this is what happens when we drop money on a carrier branded device. They can take their sweet time adding and tweaking the OS to 'optimize it for the network and consumers,' aka adding bloat and removing features. When no one holds them responsible (Samsung and Google in this case) the time they spend on it is infinite. Nor do i expect Samsung or Google to force their hand in regards to this.

Having the latest and greatest, especially from a carrier, means nothing. Remember that.

Unless it's an iPhone, because Apple actually has influence to exert its own control. Samsung should try it sometime.

That ideal is iffy.
Apple had exclusivity originally with ATT and the first few iphones , which ATT bent over for.
From then on out the precedence was set in stone for Apple and how they expect the OS to be from every carrier.

Samsung and others wanted their phones to be pushed out to combat the iphone originally and most likely did not care about how carriers touched it as long as the advertising and name followed, along with the nature of android and it's openness.

Now to be fair Apple has been adding their own apps into the mix which could be considered bloatware(subjective).
