So I've had the 5.1.1. update on T-Mobile now for two or three days and I have two quick notes for those that might not have it yet...first, thank god the memory leak is fixed. I was frankly contemplating getting rid of the phone. I know it was a Google thing but on the S6E, it was nearly unmanageable. I was killing apps every twenty minutes at one point. Now, I go all day.
The second thing is that they supposedly improved the fingerprint reader. That may be true; it's hard to tell for me because I basically had 100% success with it previously anyway. HOWEVER, if you are using the fingerprint reader, I highly recommend that you disable that security before the update and re-code your prints afterward. I had significant trouble with it immediately after the update to the point where I had to enter my backup password basically every time. And I use FingerSecurity on certain apps so it was a real pain. I had to pay for Starbucks with cash because I couldn't get into the app (oh, the horror!).
Once I recoded my prints, it worked fine. Like I said, I was at 100% before the update. About the only thing I noticed is that I essentially just have to lightly tap the button rather than leave it on the button for a second, so maybe it's faster.
