5.1 update killed LTE?

Unlocked Z3 Compact on AT&T through Straight Talk. Did the 5.1 update today and it mostly seems stable but the LTE connection now stalls out before fully loading any content. Very frustrating. Phone shows good LTE signal. HSPA+ works fine when I turn off 4g. Have rebooted phone several times. Never had a problem with LTE under 5.02.

Did the APN settings change, or is this some bug in the update? Anyone else having this problem? Is there an easy way to revert to 5.02 to see if that fixes LTE?

Thanks for any guidance...

Glad I saw this. I got the update notification this morning. I'm going to wait but for now I can't figure out how to turn the notification off.

Stop bugging me about it Sony!

I have had problems with data (lte, 3g, etc) stopping and not reconnecting after being idle for a while even though cellular voice connection is still good. This is on T-Mobile. Nothing had fixed it...

I installed 5.1 this morning and haven't had any issues so far with lte. Did have the camera overheating issue today but not sure what caused it.

Similar problems for my GF's phone using T-Mobile pre-paid SIM. Frequently looses connectivity and no amount of airplane mode on-off helps, have to reboot. Suspect it nuked one of the setting somewhere. Tried changing the network-mode via hidden *#*#SERVICE#*#* menu but no joy so far.

Any ideas on downgrading to a previous OTA image - is that possible?

Update: after getting nowhere with Sony support (they recommended resetting the phone and reinstalling the update through the PC tool), contacted the carrier and they "refreshed" my account. Fixed the LTE issue for now. Unsure if this was a carrier issue all along or had something to do with the 5.1.1 update. LTE problems started immediately after the update.

Saw this post on the Sony support forums. A few people on that forum said it worked for them.

From reddit user FishStik5:

Going into the APN settings and changing the APN protocol to iPv4 only (it was iPv6 before) seems to fix the problem. How to find the setting: Settings-> Wireless and Network / more -> Mobile networks -> APN -> T-mobile data -> APN protocol -> Set to IPv4.
This appears to fix the issue for me.

I kept rejecting update, then one day it just did it.... now I have the same data issue, after idle for awhile I can't get data till I reboot the phone.
I hate updates. anyhow probably changed a setting somewhere ,if anyone figures out how to fix it, please post here.
