My only problem with my Galaxy Note 9 is video recording! Why does this phone only limit you to 5 minutes of video recording time? With my Pixel XL I had unlimited recording time with less ram and less storage! With 8 gigs of RAM and 1TB of storage I should have more than enough space to handle it.

I never understood why there was a time limit for ultra HD stuff either. Every other phone I've owned was like this as well, but 1080p/30fps stuff isn't limited. Might have something to do with the generated file size and the file system limits.

I think it's to prevent overheating at the highest resolutions or frame rates. If you reduce your video quality to what you had on your previous phones, you can record forever on this phone too.

Never had a limit with Pixel XL. Created 30 minute videos at my church with the Pixel XL. It is just a headache that it every 5 minutes it stops recording.
