$50 Google Play Credit

Trying to sell mine, personally :)

I dont think Ive spent even near 50.00 in the Play Store since buying my first smartphone in 2008. Titanium Backup, Root Explorer and maybe SetCPU were about it.

I think that is why Google is doing this. They know they need to compete better for music, books, and video with iTunes and Amazon, so the $50 is to get people to buy some video or music -- or even a Play music subscription -- with the hope that they'll buy more once they are used to buying from the play store.

I already owned the apps I really wanted so will look to use that on a subscription or something.

I'll buy music and upgrade some good apps I use from free to premium. Support development community and all that.

I read books on my Nexus 9 and watch movies occasionlly on Play, so I'll probably buy some books & may rent or buy some movies. Upgrading some apps to premium versions is not a bad idea also.

I might be upgrading some apps to premium from free. This credit, and the google opinion rewards have my play balance ridiculously full!

I missed the eligibility for the credit, since they were still showing out of stock, prior to the 25th, when the promo expired.

I bought it from Huawei instead. I would've rather bought from Google, but Huawei doesn't charge tax in my state, so it worked out OK from a financial perspective.

So far I've picked up the fully paid versions of the following (this is developer appreciation $$ for me).

  • Camera FV-5
  • League of Stickman
  • LIMBO
  • Leo's Fortune
  • Thinkrolls
  • Thinkrolls 2
  • reddit is fun golden platinum
  • Today Calendar - Pro (second account to purchase this one - it's that good!)

Can't wait to spend more. :)

Pm me if you are still looking to sell it :)

Since I'd had a trial within the last year for Google Music I couldn't use the free 90 days offer, but you can use this $50 credit towards Google Music so I started a subscription that's being paid from this money. I'll decide at the end of the 5 months if I'll keep going or not.

I also have a credit that I do not plan to use. Only wish I could buy a case with it ... Will let it go for cheap if somebody wants it.

I haven't used all of it yet, but I've been using it in various apps and games I've had in my wishlist for some time.

Light Flow is the only app I really did not have... it's a start. Maybe I'll get a movie or some music.

I ordered mine on January 1st and it came with the $50 card. I thought it was only good for music, so I was planning on ignoring it. This thread made me realize that I can buy some apps too, which is awesome :)
