At Virgin Mobiles website they are doing a cyber Monday with the 3 phones listed half off. This brings us to a smooth $65 for the OV, $150 for the Triumph, and $100 for the slider. Anybody going to bite? I just sold an old Triumph that kept breaking for 180 locally and am thinking about picking up a new one for this price. Just don't know if I can live without my 3 days of battery again!

I could go on a rant about it like I do everytime someone asks a Triumph question...

I could just tell you that I think my 300$ was VERY well spent, regardless of the deal its on for right now.

if you have the chance to get it for 120$ dont pass that up... Especially becuase if you dont like it, you can resell it on craigslist sometime after christmas for 200 or so. (whn the prices are back to normal)


btw, dont use the stock rom... go MIUI or CM7 when you get it. the stock rom is THE source of all the problems you hear about the phone.

I fully expect bugs with it but at that price I can be a little more tolerable. Plus there's custom roms that seem to address some of the issues.

I pulled the trigger, with with SAVE20 code & fatwallet cashback, it should come out around $100 after taxes ($128 before fatwallet cashback, which hasn't registered yet for me). CM7 seems stable on it, ICS is in the works, and most of the bugs (except long GPS lock) are not noticed in newer triumphs from what I've read in forums.

Going for it. My last few Triumphs were amazing other than no GPS lock, battery life, and you know all of the touchscreens completely stopped working. Hope I get a good batch this time.

I would have never gone for the Triumph after reading about all the problems that comes with it Also my Optimus V has never given me problems since I got one in March...but at $120 I can risk it. I just ordered one and hopefully get a good batch. Yep I can resell it around Jan if its a bad one

This was exactly my thinking. My V runs great, but at 120, surely I'll get that money back should I not be satisfied.

According to the Slickdeals thread on this, if you click through to the VMUSA web site through FatWallet, you can get an additional $22.50 in cash back, bringing it down to $97.50.

Despite its alleged problems, I just can't pass it up at that price. I haven't received a FatWallet confirmation email yet, so I may have goofed up on that part of the deal, but even at $120 this is good enough to take for a test drive.

I bought through fat wallet, and received my email confirmation. 22.50 back, but not available til February. Amazing stuff. Also ordered a tpu case from Amazon for under 5 shipped.

I'm actually glad to hear it. I was getting tempted to try one even though I told my self I wouldn't based on reviews and issues people have had compared to the optimus especially.

Congrats to those who did snag one absolutely fantastic deal!

I'm also going to try and keep this in mind for next year! Hopefully virgins phone line up has something very appealing next year. I would like to keep the optimus for a year and then upgrade to whatever is the latest and greatest next black friday. Optimus black or whatever it ends up being.
