Well the G-Slate is going to cost you $629 and then you get a $100 rebate which sets you back at $529 on contract. That seems like a fair price. It is cheaper than the Xoom on contract. I still want to see what the off-contract price is. I think this is a fair price for a pure Honeycomb tablet that has 3D technology. It may be gimmicky but it is still a cool feature to have.

I think that price is going to be hard for people to take considering the Samsung Tab 8.9 is going to be $469 off contract. If the Lg is going to be $529 on contract what do you think the price would be off contract.

Well the G-Slate is 32GB and has T-Mobile's HSPA+. The Galaxy Tab $469 is 16GB and wi-fi only. I think the 3D part also brings the G-Slate up in price. Considering that the G-Slate is $629 with a 2yr contract so I think it will be around $829 off contract, but that is just using the Xoom's on and off contract price so it may be different.

Those are all very good points. I really like the looks of the G slate but I'm 100% sure I won't be using the 3D so I'll probably end up passing on the G and looking at the tab or just going with the xoom wifi. I'll be interested in hearing some reviews about it though.

Well now the downside to the Tab is that it has Samsung's custom skin while the Xoom and G-Slate don't. I prefer the Tab because I like Samsung and you still get a Honeycomb feel, Samsung's skin is more like small customizations. Also they added some features that Google left out in Honeycomb like re-sizing widgets. It all comes down to personal preference. Also the Tab will come out in Wifi only one and with AT&T's "4G." What I like about the Tab is that it has an SD card slot. I dislike that there is no HDMI port but it will be HDMI capable with a dock.

The downside to the G-Slate is that it doesn't have an SD card slot. You really don't need a SD card slot when you have 32GB of memory so it kind of doesn't matter. Also as of right now there is no Wi-Fi only G-Slate. On the upside it is pure Honeycomb with no skin and will get updates faster. I do like the HDMI port though.

The downside to the Xoom is that it has an SD card slot but no SD card support. THe slot doesn't work and that is partially because in Honeycomb there is no SD card support (or that is what I think). So who knows how it will get support for the SD card. Maybe an update from Google or Moto will have to add a skin that only adds SD card support but still with pure Honeycomb. The upside is HDMI and Pure Honeycomb. Also it has a Wi-Fi only tablet.

It all comes down to personal preference. I hope you select a tablet that best suits you.

I use to own the droid eris by HTC so I'm okay with some companies putting there own skin on things. I really like the idea of the re-sizing widgets. I would like the SD slot support since I'm hoping to convert alot of my movies to put on this thing (which ever I end up with )

So glad I got my Xoom, I can't wait for the next Galaxy Tab or the LG Optimus Pad... plus it I knew it was going to be overpriced, and it doesn't even have SD card support so you are paying a little more for a lot of pointless features... 3d? Hpsa+?( in a network that is soon enough going to die?). Pass indefinitely.

I went and bought the xoom as well. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'm looking forward to SD support though as I've nearly filled this up already. I'm still looking forward to playing with the other tabs when the come out.
