My Note 4 needs a new battery (only lasting about 4 hours off the charger even just on standby). While searching for a new battery, I came across a 5470mAh Extended Slim NFC Battery which claims to be the same size as the OEM battery, and is being sold under several different brand names. Anyone have any experience with these batteries? I suspect that the higher mAh rating means it won't last for as many charge cycles as the OEM battery, but I'll probably be upgrading when the Note 6(7?) comes out anyway.

Here's the one in particular I was considering.

I have no knowledge of this battery but I'm also interested to hear more about it because my Note 4 is also in desperate need of a new battery, it runs out rather quickly now.

Not sure how thats technically possible as you have to have additional material inside the battery to handle the extra power storage. Plus they seem to be adimit that its only for the verizon unit which seems odd to me as i thought all the note 4 batteries were cross carrier compatible.

I've seen different 18650 cells with varying mAh ratings. It's my understanding that they sacrifice the number of charging cycles, and/or output, for higher capacity. I don't know the actual physics of how this works, but it seems logical. So I suspect this is a similar situation.

As for specifying the model, I have a feeling that it's just an ebay marketing thing. I've seen the same done frequently with photography equipment (usually Chinese retailers).

I wouldn't bother with this... it has several negative reviews for other batteries they sell. Right now you can get an OEM battery on AC's store for $16.95 on sale. Battery is OEM so it comes with no plastic case. I have this battery and can tell you it lasts just like the original. Sale ends in 4 hours + a few minutes. Grab um while they're hot!
