5G in NYC Sep 26th!!!!!!

Any other carriers besides Verizon? My poor friends with AT&T are convinced they already have 5G... More like 5Ge. I can't reason with them.

But I don't think they should be too jealous even if they understand, seeing as I am sure Verizon will throttle me after using .00005GB of data and the phone will get so hot it will melt while the battery goes down to 0% in 5 minutes and my bill gets doubled.... ROFL

This afternoon... They are getting so much better so much faster... Still wish it was more widespread but that will be before you know it...

Just make sure to not go around that corner
Yes - coverage is still miniscule - but they are rolling it out extremely aggressively... And Verizon has more revenue than any other company in the NYC area, so they have alot of cash to do it...

Yeah I know it will take time just like LTE did.. just hard to get excited about 5G at the moment since the hype isn't there for me. Cool to get 1,500+ on a mobile phone but .. if I can only get it while standing under that specific pole well .. pointless.

It will be a few more years before 5G even becomes revelant. There isn't enough devices that support 5G and most carriers are just starting to launch 5G.

Meanwhile in the UK......

( disclosure, my carrier has not officially released 5G yet, that's in the next week or so. But my phone has been picking it up over the last few days. That said, I could hit c300M on 4G. 5G is more about exclusivity for me atm rather than outright pointless speed)

My phone on 4glte already loads faster than I can blink.
There's no way I'm putting a microwave transiever in my pocket or next to my head. YMMV
