5x only comes with plug in adapter

Anyone notice that the usb type c cable in the box will not work with a regular computer's usb or any other usb accessory? It will only connect into the type c wall adapter they give you. In other words if you're in a car for example you're screwed. Google lists the one needed for another 13 bucks on their site. Another added expense to an already higher priced than necessary phone compared to the 6P imo.

Going through another retailer for USB Type-C chargers is going to be your best bet, just as Zendroid1 did.

There's a thread on reddit now that a Google rep confirmed a USB type-C to type-A cable will come in the box, and its omission on the spec sheet was a mistake. I wouldn't yet call that "verified", but perhaps we'll be OK.

they could've "included" it, but then the price of the phone would've been even higher.

I do agree compared to the 6p it's overpriced. people opting for it are sacrificing a lot for the smaller display.

No big deal I always buy extra cables anyway. I've already ordered some to get here before the 5X. They cost about as much as a Starbuck's coffee.
