I have a 128MB version of the S7+ coming but didn't realize only the 256 and 512 have 8GB of RAM. So my question is how big of a difference the extra 2GB of RAM will make in terms of performance? Any guesses?

I can cancel my order but it means I won't get the tablet or keyboard on release day. And... I'm impatient... Lol

Not much but 8gb ram can hold more in memory for apps to load quickly

The 8GB of RAM would be more useful in wireless Dex. If your a multitasking beast, go 8GB. For reference the iPad Pro uses 6GB of RAM and performs very well with 3 app multitasking.

Honestly you won't notice. But I think it is worth the upgrade price. My tab s6 has never run slow

Performance wise nothing will be gained other than being able to hold more programs in RAM without reloading.

I think it's better to go for 8gb. With samsung's promised 3 year updates and increasing multi tasking and Dex capabilities, more RAM definitely makes difference.

I feel like it's a little weird to tie the RAM upgrade to the storage. Especially in a device with expandable storage.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with them creating model with both upgraded RAM and storage. Expandable storage is a separate issue and it is not as fast or as reliable as internal storage.
