7.1.2 beta after official build

[AC Question]

Unlocked 6P. Part of beta program so I had 7.1.2 beta build NPG47i installed, Got an OTA update to 7.1.2 final release build N2G474. After install and reboot, I got prompted to install Beta NPG47i again. Spoke with Google and the guy explained that I will always get that prompt unless I leave beta program and that it's a newer version than before (even though version number is identical). Sounds like BS since that has not happened with previous versions and it makes no sense at all from software versioning logic. Any clues? Similar experiences?

*edit* Installed NPG47i and it seems to be running ok with no further updates pending.

Same here. Project Fi 6P. Had the 7.1.2 beta build NPG47i installed. Today got the 25.4 MB update to N2G474. Tonight got prompted to download an update back to NPG47i that is 1313.6 MB. downloading now, not sure if I should install...
Anyone else having a similar issue too?
