When on a call, my screen keeps flashing on and off despite the fact that the phone is touching my ear. This results with my face touching the mute button constantly.

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm still on Oreo as my Pie update hasn't shown up as yet.

Thanks for that tip. Set it into safe mode then made a call and it still flashes. Guess it's either a sensor fault or a software glitch. If it's software, it may get sorted when Pie drops.

See if wiping the cache partition does anything: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/nokia/nokia-7/recovery-mode/. If that doesn't work, a factory reset is worth trying as well.

I've had enough now. The phone is only a week old, so it's going back to CPW in the morning. Only problem is that their customer service is crap but I want an exchange unit so we could have some fireworks tomorrow.
