802.11 ac is coming soon

Costco has a belkin dual band ac router for 90.

My question is will the signal speed and distance be better than an N router (currently have a belkin dual band N router) even though my gear is not ac. I see they are backward compatible.

I guess with costco's return policy I could check to see if it is better.

I guess this is the answer. On my S4 from my family room after setting up the AC router. Never seen that speed on a phone before. Was almost 50mbps on my macbook pro! Pretty impressed! The Belkin AC router is on sale at Costco for $90.
