Okay, so I might get flamed for starting this but whatever... if you have nothing to say just move along. I also posted this on CrackBerry.com but I wanted to see what those who are more Android enthusiasts think.
Let me state up front that I know comparing the 9650 to the Evo is like apples v. oranges; different phones for different usages as the former is for emailing/texting/business and the latter for multimedia/consumer usage. No need to respond on that.
I mainly use a phone (outside of, well, naturally, phone calls) for texting and emailing. That's why I am drawn to BlackBerry, hands down. I love the physical keyboard (that's why I'm still using my Motorola Q) and keep Internet browsing to the minimum of just reading the news/Facebook/football, baseball, NCAA sports scores. I could care less about taking pictures, shooting videos, watching YouTube on my phone. Listening to music, I drive a car and can just hook up an iPod. GPS isn't an issue, I have a Garmin.
The catch is... I use Google services extensively. By that I mean: Google Talk (chat, whatever that client is called), Gmail (labels are used extensively to help organize the massive amounts I get), and Google Calendar (again, I might be anal retentive, but I have a lot of different color-coded calendars to keep my life organized).
I'm staying with Sprint either way because I get perfect service where I live (travel to) and I'm in a 4G area right now.
I do not need access to a corporate email account, I prefer a physical keyboard to a touchscreen one but I've gotten accustomed to using my iPod Touch's so I'm sure I could make the adjustment - especially if Swype comes to Android.
Lastly, any drug related reference programs on the Android Market?
So, thoughts?
Thanks!
