So I'm coming from webos and am definitely excited about having the who but there are some things I don't like.
Pandora was the first thing I installed along with the widget. I use it in my aux jack in the car along with navigation. The app stopped working after about the third time using it. It would greet me with a black screen and the bottom buttons to play pause etc did nothing. Just wondering if others are having trouble.

The email widget. Why does it not update my email on the widget without going into the actual app? Doesn't that defeat the point of a widget? I woke up this morning to a notifications that I had new email so I checked the widget and nothing. I go into the app and it loads the new mail. What gives?

Kind of nit picky one but it would be nice the have the battery percentage available natively. I had the patch installed on my pre that had the percentage right next to the icon without adding any bulk. Let me click the battery icon in the upper tray to give me some quick info at the least.

So I suppose I'd like to know if the first two are Android specific or evo specific.

On a side note, I went to Sprint yesterday and they had little paper tents out (like the ones that describe accessories in the display case) and there were a couple interesting ones. One was a case that had a hidden charging feature, not sure what that will look like. They also had one for the hdmi video dock that WILL support charging as well as video out. There were two more but I don't they weren't anything special. If you guys want pictures I can go in today and snap some.

As an update, I picked up "battery indicator" that has a percentage in the upper left of the system tray.

what update or where did you get the update?

Your pandora issue sounds like a network issue. I have the same thing when driving through areas with bad service.

For email, Check to see what your sync options are. If its not often enough you can change that. If your using a task killer, it will kill the notification until you actually open the app.

@PlantinumRon
Battery % indicator should be an app downloadable from the app store correct?

Sorry for the confusion, I picked it up in the market. Exactly what I was looking for. It also doesn't poll the system so its no extra drain on the battery.

It's set to download my mail every hour but thats not the issue. The problem is that the widget doesn't update. I'll get a notification of a new email, go to the widget and no new mail. After clicking on the widget the application shows my new mail.

Pandora: I don't believe its a network issue because it acted up in my house as well where I have great service. I uninstalled and reinstalled and its still acting funny.
I truly miss being able to switch through the cards on webos but this hardware is sooo much nicer. I'm sure ill get used to the software soon. I guess I was expecting a little more functionality. The visuals are phenomenal. Hopefully 2.2 will tweak it just a bit.

I had the Pre as well and once I getting used to the EVO I wouldn't dare go back to such underdeveloped crap of a phone..
Anyways I had the problem too with the AUX jack..If you had the music playing while plugging the jack in it will cause a disfunction in the device. Mute or pause the device before pluggin. This happens with other devices as well.

so it just happened shin with Pandora, the old force close. The problem is that after that happens, I can't get it to restart.

Kinda sucks that u can't control the volume of the Sprint back separate from the media like you can with Google maps.

I'm also seeing Pandora freeze up. I get a force close dialog, but even that doesn't totally kill the program; I have ended up rebooting my phone 3 times trying to use Pandora.

I love the service, but hope we can get a more stable client. After 3 crashes, I hesitate to use it at this point.
