A few questions for Galaxy Note 8.0 users

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 16gig wifi version
1. Why root my note 8? What are the benefits and drawbacks?
2. How do i root and what is the easiest way?
3. What are some of the better free apps to download. There are articles on this topic online but the users of this product know better.

Welcome to the forums.
Rooting does open more doors for customizing your device. To borrow from the cliche, 'With great power comes great responsibility'. Once rooted, you will not be able to accept OTA updates, your warranty is void. Rooting does compromise the security of your device (you are taking advantage of a vulnerability in the OS)

After rooting? I personally have a little better battery life, but that also depends on which device. my Samsung's improved because I needed to root to fully disable TW bloatware.

thanks for into, i have been looking at the hard class protectors or glass like for the screen but im wondering if i get one what kind of case can i get that still fits it?
Also what are the best accessories for the 8?

Often there are cases specifically built for devices. I would stick to those. My tablet I have a screen protector on and just a carrying case.
