Hey, I just got my Moto X Play and have some troubles with the new Android after using a Windows phone 10 from my ex work for a while (Glad to be back on Android though!!!)

1.) I use Nova Launcher in a 5x7 grid. However, the space between the date/time widget and the first icons is really big and would even fit a complete row of icons. If i try to move some to that spot, it will change the clock position. Is there any way to get rid of that space?

2.) I use the standard keyboard and cant find any settings to change/customize it other than adding languags? I'd like to ave direct access to emotions for instance.

3.) And the last and most important question: How can I sync my Outlook Pro 2010 contacts and calendar to my phone using a USB cable and without using GMail, Microsoft Live or any other online accounts. Im hoping there is an easy and free software around to do it the oldschool way with a cable? :)

Thanks so much,
Chris

EDIT: SOmehow I cant reply to this threat, so i will edit this post instead :)

Thanks for your input! I got those 2 options enabled already, but still (only with the clock widget) it wont work and push down the other icons.

Regarding the keyboard, I wanted to see if there is a way to change the setup before adding further apps. I like to keep my phone as clean as possible :)

Hi Chris, welcome to the forums!

1 - The stock clock widget can be resized. Long press on it and make it just one row in height. You can also change a couple of things in Nova settings.

Check the "subgrid positioning" box under "desktop grid". Also check "widget overlap" under desktop - advanced. These two options will give you more control positioning items on the screen.

2 - You can use a third party keyboard like SwiftKey you have more options.

3 - Sorry, not much help here :)

Haha! Have you already tried resizing the clock widget? This is how it looks after making it just one row. The screenshot was taken right after long pressing on it.
