A good free notes app that I can manage from PC too?

Hi,

I use Sticky Notes on PC (Win10) and the classic S Memo on a Galaxy S4, but I just bought a Galaxy S7 and I would like to "improve my experience" (as companies say) with taking notes. I know there are many good apps which do this and I'm trying to understand which one is better for me.

I'd like to be able to take notes on my phone (Galaxy S7) and on my Win10 and be able to access them from both devices without problems.

I was previously thinking about ColorNote, because it has sooo many good reviews, but it seems it's impossible to use it from PC too.

Evernote apparently is not so good anymore, I read it has many paying feautures now.

From my little research, it seems the best ones that allow to do this are Microsoft OneNote and Google Keep.

What's your suggestion? Which one is better for this purpose?

Thank you in advance

[Edit] I forgot something: is it possible to import my S Memo files to any of those Note apps?

I use OneNote. it's works well and my wife and I have it set up that we can see each other's notes. I also get emails when she changes something in hers.

I use "Color Note" from my HP Laptop: Windows 10 Home Edition, Galaxy S7, and Amazon Fire HD8, all work with "Color Note", all sync with each other - no issues.

Really?? How can you use Color Note from your Win10? Is there a pc app for Color Note? And are the notes between pc and Android phone synchronised?

for simplicity I like keep, one note is also nice. Both can be done on any platform. Keep also has good chrome extensions. However, those idiots at google screwed up the shopping list on keep. you can no longer use assistant to save your shopping list to keep.

I like Tasks & Notes for Microsoft Exchange; syncs with Outlook on my laptop (running Win 10 but also worked with Win 7 prior). I'm on GS7 on Nougat.

I'm s big fan of one note but to be honest I haven't tried many other note taking apps. It works well with keyboard or stylus and does a good job of staying organized and syncs between devices really well, seems to be immediate.

Well, since everywhere the opinions are kind of equal for both OneNote and Keep, I decided to try to use them both for a while and decide myself which one fits better for me.

What I don't like about Keep is that its notes have a limit of characters, while it seems OneNote doesn't.

But the Google App can keep your deleted notes in the bin for a while, OneNote doesn't have this feature.

Also Keep doesn't have a real Windows App, only a Chrome extension. But it's actually possible to link it to the desktop and start it without the need to start Chrome first, so it's nice.

I don't know, I'll try both of them :)

Thank you again for your help!

Yes, there's an app, available from Store. Same one available on Android. Yes they DO synchronize. Search in Store for it. Same logo as that on Android. Do not know if S memo files would work, I do not use this.

You could look at Evernote. You can use it for free as long as you don't upload too much content during a month.

I've been using Keep on PC, tablet and phone for quite some time. All working very well for me.

Well I just downloaded OneNote easy to use and didn't realize it was on my laptop already so now my note is already synced 😎
