Yep and the feature he mainly touts is the power saving features and display scaling I posted about. Very under appreciated feature that should gain steam once the device is released.
My guess is Samsung is using this stock scaling feature as testing ground for 4K displays next year, since 4K is really intended for Gear VR on the Samsung units. Still seems it will run too hot for VR (even for video) unless in void mode (black background with just video).
Samsung will either need to add some new cooling tech, or have chips 10nm next year to get the heat down for 4K VR. Splitting into two display VR at 1440p each chokes PC's with better heat displacement, yet alone a tiny device.
