A little help please.

I am a new user to the amazing world of Android. So I need some help.

I traded my phone. The phone I now have is GALAXY S4 T-Mobile. I am not sure whether the phone had to be rooted to get GPE Rom installed or whether it was bought being a GPE already.

I got a notification saying that my device is going to receive OTA 4.4 update. Every time I click to install it takes me to TWRM and it doesn't do anything. It just stays on 4.3 once I reboot. I haven't tried side loading because I'm scared to brick the phone. I am clueless as what to do here.

Yes. I used to have an iPhone and found some guy who wanted to trade for an s4 Google edition on craiglist. I wish I could post screens shot on here of the "about phone" section. I keep getting notification to update to 4.4 but once I download it takes me TWRP and nothing happens. It stays on 4.3

Try to find the model number....think its on the white sticker under battery. If it's not a GT-I9505G then its just the Google Play Ed ROM.

Yes. Its a GT-19505G. So what do I have to do to get the update without no trouble?

You need to restore stock recovery. On xda I have a recovery thread in the i9505g section of the forum with odin flashable images for all versions of stock recovery.
