A lot of Bixby updates this morning!

Checked on updates from the Galaxy app store and there was a lot of system app updates including bixby ones. Was hoping it was the beta but haven't noticed any changes. Anyone else get these updates?

Yep, too many updates to a lot of Samsung apps including a couple for Bixby services so that simply means that they are preparing the UI for the new change. What I don't know if it's just for people who susbscribed to the Bixby preview or if it's in general.

If you see the description of some of those updates such as the Samsung Gallery App it says "Gallery has been learning Bixby English", Samsung Contacts says "Support the voice command service (BIXBY)". So definitely all this is related to the upcoming Bixby Voice release.

I see all the updates in the Galaxy App Store but it won't let me install any of them. It just quickly goes through the list with the downloading animation but doesn't actually do anything. Anyone else having this issue?

UPDATE: Fixed. I had to turn off WiFi to install them.

The bixby voice app is active now in system apps. Hopefully soon we will get to try it out.

Samsung could at least put some information out there with a time line so people can know what's going on. I know it's nothing serious but that Bixby button should be fully functional on a phone that comes from such a big company. Plus the s8 ain't cheap.

No Bixby Invitation

oh my lucky you. did you get email invite to bixby voice after signing up. i fear even though ive had samsung account for yrs, i was overlooked when i signed up 6 days ago.

I signed up a number of days ago (can't exactly remember when)... but never received an email invitation. This morning my s8 had a ton of updates... a number of them around Bixby. On the top of the Bixby screen it says "Bixby Voice" and it has a strange color shifting that is going on with it. When you touch the words "Bixby Voice" as if you were going to get a drop down or something... the words change colors. Strange! But that said, its not working... and no set-up in the Settings menu. So I suspect its there as of this morning, just not turned on at this point. I wonder if their is another update coming actually turns it on for the Beta.

It is a good possibility that this being pre loaded for those that signed up pending notification. we may very well see an email this week with instructions o how to turn it on, or Samsung has to turn it on or an update will be posted to turn it on. we will just have wait and see.

Let the rumors theories conspericies and such begin.

Did you ever receive an email about it? I got the updates too but Bixby voice still isn't working.
