so my question is does the decrees screen bother any of you? i was playing with it today and noticed the screen was a lot smaller... any other insite would help thanks!

Yeah the Storm screen is a little wider but i like the Eris screen better because its more of a widescreen than a box and i could watch fail blog on youtube all day on this phone!!!! Even in HQ!!! YeEe!:D lol

I played with the eris quite a few times in the store and did a lot id research before I bought one. It only took a few hours to get use to but all I can say is WOW! You will love the eris it blows the storms away and no more battery pulls or wiping your device anymore. Android devices are far superior to any blackberry device.

I'm a current Storm user but I'm getting my Eris on Thursday (or Friday) and I can't wait. I've spent hours in the store practicing with the new phone and I just can't wait to switch. It's definitely going to be an adjustment and I don't expect to be nearly as fast while typing at first but I do expect to get the hang of it within a few hours/days. I just can't wait to have a phone that works the way its supposed to!

I was in the same boat you are in and I made the switch to the Eris. So far so good I did have to exchange for the trackball not working but no big deal. I am buying a app that backs everything up Google only backs up your contacts. Good luck with your new Eris.

Go with the Droid Eris you won't be disappointed in the least. And believe it or not I loved my Storm 1. But I needed out of the box support for MS Exchange Active Sync. I figured I could part with my BB for the exchange support and have to settle for being just okay with the Eris, but damn I love this phone and I would never go back. I had used BB for years.

awesome! thanks everyone i feel like my biggest fear about leaving BB is the BBM haha thats so silly i know:eek:

I came from an iPhone 3G to the Eris.

Yes the screen is smaller, but it hasn't bothered me at all. Now I don't have huge hands so I guess it could be an issue for people with bigger hands.

The screen resolution is the same, so no real lost of screen real-estate.

Actually the slightly smaller screen makes for a much more pocketable phone than the iPhone which always felt like a significant block in my pocket. I tried to convince people I was just naturally gifted, but they never believed me.
