A Quick Browser Question: Need your thoughts..?

I think this is an end user issue more so than a tablet issue...

I have tried this on two different browsers, The stock browser and Dolphin HD, both with the same results.

When Im on a website (i.e. AndroidCenteral) via my tablet (Asus TF-700) and try to do a search using the drop down box.. for exapmple, "Search this forum"... The box drops down and I am able to select the search box... And... The keyboard on the tablet does pop up for a brief second, but then goes away, not allowing me to type my search criteria. Additionally, the drop down box also closes.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with a setting on my tablet or possibly the way the browser is addressing the website... I'm not sure, I want to hear what you guys have to say....?

looks like same thing happening here too. (tried it in this forum and with chrome)

if i had swiftkey for tablet i'd tell you if its a keyboard issue, but as of now, only stock keyoard

As luck would have it and I forgot to mention this in my original post, but I DO and WAS using Swiftkey keyboard when this happened... and honstly, didn't think to try the factory one until you just said that.... but, since you did, then the issue is happening on two different browsers using two different keyboards...

So... that being said, the common denominator would be...
- The website itself...(which by the way, I have NOT tested this using anohter website)
- The tablet settings...

I do not have my tablet here at work... GREEN... are you able to test the "website" theory out using another website other than AC...? if not, I'll do so when I get home...

If anyone else has any thoughts, I'm open to hear them...

Okay... Just a quick update...

Tried another forum, attempted to perform a search and the same results... Does anyone have any additional thoughts...?

i can try some sites when i get home that arent forums (still at work myself)
maybe most forums share same code/style for drop down, not sure, it's all the behavior (I'm guessing)
