A really faint triangle has appeared on my screen. How do i get rid of it ?

An upside down triangle has appeared on my phone screen. No matter which app I use, it is there.
It's really faint, but noticeable.

Has anyone else got/had this ?

It almost looks like screen burn.

Welcome to the forums. What phone do you have? What happens if you switch to landscape mode, does it stay in the same place? Also, take a screenshot, open it in the gallery and zoom in and out, does the icon change size?

Hello. Sorry my phone is an s8 and if I take a screenshot and zoom in and out the triangle stays in the same place and stays the same size. Thanks

Ugh. Yeah, that sounds like burn-in.

No. sorry. You had that "thing", whatever it is, on the screen for long periods (and probably at high screen brightness), and now it's there permanently.

I'm not sure. There are some apps that claim to fix burn-in, but I've never tried or put much faith on them. Let me ask around.

In the meantime I'll move your thread to the S8 forum for better visibility.

Yeah, I've got a little pink triangle in the middle of my Galaxy Note 8's screen. In fact I can see it on this screen as I type. Weird
