A silly question on j5 prime. Anser please

This may be a stupid questoon but is my downloads continuing on background? I asked this because every time i close the chrome or the browser, the nofication will be removed. I am downloading a huge file that's why i asked this.. please let me know . Im using samsung j5 prime btw

It should keep downloading, unless you're actually killing Chrome from RAM. Normally, when you tap Home, Chrome won't be closed out from RAM -- but if you have a "RAM cleaner" or automatic task killer app installed (which you should uninstall, because they're of no benefit), then your apps might be getting killed immediately after you switch out of them. There's also a Developer Option called "Don't Keep Apps," which also kills apps once you switch away from them, so if you have that on, turn it off.

And what about pressing the left button(i forgot what its called) and swiping chrome? It will countinue right?

There is some doubt about exactly what happens when an app is swiped away from Recents, as you describe. Here is what Samsung says about it:
