During the launch of a new google product from the play store the details can be vague. I'd say it's normal to have a wide range of shipping dates, not being notified when something's been shipped until after it's delivered, and not even being charged until after it's in your hands. If your're like me, my order says ships by 9/12. This would be the third time I've been quoted a ship date that greatly exceeds the actual ship date.
There's something you guys can do that should work. Google play ships via UPS. Go to the UPS tracking page and hit track by reference, sign up for Quantum View(it's free), and track all orders to your zip code addressed to your first and last name. This should give you a tracking number to indicate its status if it's been processed yet.
