A way to change app font colour?

I tried searching but I couldn't find any answers - possibly because I don't know the right terms to use.

What I would like to do, if possible, is change the app font colour on the home screen(s) from white to black? Sometimes I would like to use a different background that I like but the white writing makes it hard to see the app name.

I've searched on my phone but there are so many settings, ha, that it's hiding from me if it's there!

I'm not rooted and don't wish to, nor do I wish to use a different launcher. If having a different app font colour is not possible without either of these options that's fine, just let me know :-)

I've included a photo just incase my ramblings aren't clear.

Thanks!

Sarks.

I realize you may not want to use a different launcher, but in Nova, you can change it to whatever color you want. It's called label color and you can change it under the Desktop settings and the Dock settings, as well as the App drawer and Folders.

I tried nova before but I wasn't able to keep my action memo widget and calender widget on my home screen - both of which I use CONSTANTLY - I asked (here) if it was possible to get them whilst using the nova launcher but I was told no. That was months ago though so if I can have those on nova now please let me know. I've heard nothing but good things about it ...but not having those 2 widgets was a deal breaker.

I should have clarified why I didn't want to change launchers - that was why, plus throw in the fact that they can confuse the F out of me, ha.

Cheers for the suggestion though! :-)

I don't think there is any way to do it with the stock settings. I'm wondering if maybe there is a non-launcher app that can change it. I've never looked into though. Maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
