The purpose of the screen saver is to display something on the screen other than something stationary. You know, to save the screen from image burn-in. Actually something from the old PC with CRT screen days.Hello Forum,
I am basically a Luddite wrt cell phones. Seems the UI logic is NOT wired the same as my brain.
I have new Samsung A15, how to wake from screen saver using an icon and NOT a double tap?
Does your A series Samsung come with AOD for lock screen? If it also comes with Edge lighting it can light up the camera ring for notifications or a 3rd party apps such as AOD notify in play store .Are you using one of these options as a screen saver? "None"
Also are you saying you don't want use double tap, Yes
double tap doesn't work? DT works but is very unreliable
My old S5 had a locked screen blinking LED for a received msg.
I didn't have to configure anything -- I just tap the screen once and the screen saver exits. How to configure a single tap? Is it a fingerprint setting?
If you just want to wake the screen without tapping anything you should be able to set it to wake the screen just by lifting the phone up, or am I missing something?Hello Forum,

Yeah unfortunatelyI believe I have confirmed that AOD is NOT available on the A15.
This negates the alerts I am looking for.
Thank you to all that tried to help.
That's a shame. Not sure why the A15 wouldn't have it, just because its a lower end phone. It's not like the AOD takes an enormous amount of power or resources to work. I certainly don't see it taking any more than the screen saver would. In fact, since it's an AMOLED screen, it would use less energy than a screen saver.I believe I have confirmed that AOD is NOT available on the A15.
