A2DP - turn by turn directions from a GPS?

I'm doing some research and trying to find good BT headset with long talk time.
I came across this video YouTube - T1 Rugged Bluetooth Headset
It says you can listen turn by turn directions on your BT. Is this something new with A2DP or just old news?

This isn't really new. If your phone has A2DP and you have a stereo BT, or even mono, you can hear the turn by turn directions in the BT ear piece. I do this all the time with my Pre
