A54 Will not Make use of WIFI

Hi,

So in the last two months or so my A54 has decided not to use wifi. Every other device (my old phone, tablets laptops) in the house connects and works fine. Just the A54 will not use wifi. It will not play a video or even load pages.

When I turn off WIFI and use mobil data it's fine. Works perfectly on mobil data.

I've tried restarting, toggleing airplane mode on and off and resetting the network settings after googleing the situation. I really don't want to do a factory reset right now due to ongoing work communications I am currently relying on the phone for reference.

What else can I try before a factory reset?

I moved this from the General News forum to the General Help forum.

The first thing to do in these situations is to reboot the router (not the phone). Unplug your router's power, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, and wait another minute for the network to reestablish. Now try again with your phone.

It worked! I thought for sure it couldn't be the router since all other devices worked. But it was the router!

I spent this morning backing everything up to do the reset lol.

Glad it helped! Interestingly enough, the same situation just occurred on my Lenovo Tab M9. It would connect to my home network, but with an exclamation point in the wi-fi icon, and a warning that it was connected without internet. (Meanwhile, my Pixel 7 Pro was connecting without issue.) I tried forgetting the network and adding it back, and also rebooting the tablet, but no go. I had to reboot my Google Wi-fi mesh network using the Google Home app, and that did the trick.
