about android L

since android L is a 64 bit os,when the final version hits the present flagships like the HTC M8 and the LG G3,which are running 32 bit chipsets,will the performance be as smooth and fluid as its going to be on the upcoming 64 bit chipsets with the note 4 and nexus 6?will there be a significant change in the overall performance of the present devices compared to those yet to release?(i'm a newbie.so please bear with me)

Google's intention is to have the OS be as smooth as possible on all handsets that get this version. It seems that an OS can only run so smoothly, to a point. I don't see needing x64 architecture to just run an OS smoothly, not after Google tweaks and polishes it. If ART performance, even in it's beta state (alpha?) is any indicator, I think x86 phones will run just fine.

The real benefit here will be the processing power and multi-tasking capabilities, which will undoubtedly run better on newer devices not currently released yet.
