about Instagram

I take pictures from the nexus 7, but when i connect it to my computer I it PC doesn't open the Instagram pictures even there is the folder for instagram and when i click it there are pictures but it doesn't open, can u tell me why?

There is an inbuilt option in Instagram to Save Original Photos to device, is this option selected? There may be a way of where instagram is 'protecting' in a sense the photos, although this has not happened to me.

Are you taking images, and then importing them to Instagram, or using the camera within instagram?
