About recovery mode

Hi all,

I just bought a Galaxy Note 3 N900T and I just put it into download mode for the first time and the android robot is laying on his side with a red triangle and black exclamation mark. Is that normal? The phone is new purchased from T-Mobile, just a few days old and never rooted. Is this an indication that something is wrong? Any info appreciated.

Since you haven't rooted the device at all, I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with it.

That's how it always is. Flashed the stock firmware on my phone earlier and it looked the same way

Okay thanks, that's what I was hoping was the case. I rooted my other phone, a GS3, so long ago, I could not remember whether that robot looked that way when the phone was virgin new or not.

Yeah, it's weird. I've seen some people freak out from seeing that thing, pull out the battery and brick their phones
