About to take the plunge! Help!!!

I'm on the brink of ordering my Nexus7, very excited, but have a hoop I need to know the tablet can jump through before I go for it!

I rip my music collection as lossless files, and store them on an(?) usb stick attached to my wifi router. So when I play them via iTunes, my laptop hold the library of titles only, plays them from the stick and sends them to my AVI speakers via Airplay using an Appletv.

Can I, using any of the apps available for the Nexus7, do the same thing without transferring the actual tracks to teh tablet and without having the laptop on, ie use the Nexus to 'see' the files on the network drive and send them to my speakers via Airplay?
