Ok...so I have had a rooted toro for awhile now. I did it via my old PC, and don't remember the exact steps I took. I didn't use one-click, I actually went through the process step by step. On my old PC, I could download ROMs/kernels/etc. and USB transfer them (simply copy and paste) straight to my phone.

Here is my problem:

Recently, I got a new PC. I haven't done anything with this PC "Android" wise. Today, I plugged in my GNex via USB to this computer, and all of its folders/files came up. However, upon trying to transfer a ROM (wanting to flash the JB build going around) I got the error message "Cannot Copy Item - the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected." I am using the stock USB cable.

Should I have "prepped" my new computer in any way? Am I missing drivers, some sort of Android file (the sdk pack or something?) that I need to be able to do this? My Gnex is currently running AOKP.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Most likely drivers, check cyber warriors guide (stickied on main page) for good instructions on making sure the correct drivers get set up. Make sure to browse the whole post as their are troubleshooting directions on the bottom that are important too.

Download Wug's Toolkit (see the sticky) and follow his guide for setting up the drivers. If you need to, follow the "manual" path.

If you need help, let me know.

I'm on step 6 of the auto toolkit, (device is in bootloader mode), but when I go to select the driver after clicking browse myself, there is no "Samsung Devices" folder. Really not sure what to do here...brand new Asus...

Yeah, just not working. I'm really frustrated here. The computer will boot the phone into fastboot. It says it recognizes it as ADB. Just can't transfer files. Won't even let me push it using the toolkit.

Yup, that's a fastboot driver issue.

Just a thought make sure under settings.. Storage.. Advanced you have mtp checked.
