Last time they waited a month. Nougat was released for some variants end of December. This time Samsung might just push it to January.Supposedly Beta 4 incoming. On 3 since the 28th of November. Don't know how long after they usually wait for the official release, assuming 4 is the last Beta.
They won't wait until the S9 release. Devices with the Snapdragon 845 aren't expected until mid 2018 and as per an article on SamMobile, beta 4 will be the last beta before the final release in Jan, provided there aren't any major bugs.IF nothing turns up in b4 then the release or final candidate could come end of January
Also that can give much needed time for other parties to look at what they may want or need to do.
Samsung may want to hold off depending on when the S9 is announced or ships.
The beta community seems rather quite of late.
I'm sure the S9 will be released at the same time the S series usually releases. It won't be mid 2018.They won't wait until the S9 release. Well then we are looking at March/April time frame, provided the S9 launches with the 845 and is already in mass production. Obviously Samsung won't wait that long to push the final Oreo build for the S8/Note 8 series, that was my point.I'm sure the S9 will be released at the same time the S series usually releases. Maybe not to initialize it, but if you're in the US, I wouldn't be surprised if those rollouts were pretty close to or after the release because of the way carriers slow things down. If you look at that article below, t-mobile didn't release nougat until mid Feb 2017 and they were the first to release it in the US. The S8 was announced later than normal last year so they beat it, but otherwise it would be neck and neck. Verizon didn't roll it out until mid March. Yeah the rest of the world will get it in Jan, but I wouldn't hold your breath for the US.Well then we are looking at March/April time frame, provided the S9 launches with the 845 and is already in mass production. Will they change something new in camera? Like add a potrait mod like pixel 2?Supposedly Beta 4 incoming. On 3 since the 28th of November. Don't know how long after they usually wait for the official release, assuming 4 is the last Beta.
