Acceleration activation?

Greetings~

So I just got this phone off this guy the other day... yet he said he deactivated the acceleration.. at the time i didnt understand what that meant... he also says it is ROOTED AND FLASHED WITH CYNOGEN ROM... aswell i have no ideal what that mean... yet now im here with my phone that i love.. yet i would love for the acceleration to be reactivated again... any help would be so amazing and I would be extremely appreciative..
