Mint SIM is removed b/c of crappy signals where I live, I have a contract Verizon phone and it's very acceptable, so I get a US Mobile sim, signals are same so I'm happy in that regard HOWEVER after I enter some of the data in the new APN, the phone gives me this "Access point name settings are not available for this user" and to edit anything again you have to "reset to default" under APN Names.
This strikes me as very unusual, and it did not occur with the Mint SIM (TMO mvno).

Anybody see this or know anything about it? Thanks.

Editing or selecting APNs is either allowed or blocked by the carrier. T-Mobile allows it. Chances are that US Mobile doesn't.

After some thought, after we ended our tech chat, I believed it had something to do with provisioning.
Hehe that would mean the USMobile guy on the tech chat didn't know that because I asked him about it. And he was upper tier. Maybe it doesn't matter. But meanwhile, I have okay voice & sms, I have no mobile data, and that's more important than voice.
I'm wondering how to get someone's attention at USMobile that's competent in this.
