accessing my private folder with broken screen

[Android Central Question]

my samsung s6 edge just decided to die and the screen is all black and a message saying "system ui has closed" keeps appearing so i pretty much cant access my phone. i have a bunch of pics and vids in my private folder and i need to get them so is there a way through my laptop, which is already trusted by my phone btw. anyways i hope anyone can help. thank you!
