[accessory] replacement battery doors

Anyone else come across these metallic/plastic replacement battery doors? I'm wondering if the international and US versions share the same parts. I just sacrificed the $12 on eBay to find out so I'll know in a few weeks.

If not... due to the popularity of this phone being released on all the major carriers, I'm predicting we're gonna see a ton of accessories either way.. so hopefully we will see some cool looking battery doors eventually for the U.S versions..assuming that these international covers don't fit.

What do you guys/gals think? Like them.. Don't like them? Will the metal interfere with the radio signal or possibly NFC signals? The made in China battery doors look like they may be plastic with possibly a metallic decal but I'm hoping that they have the same brushed metal look and feel as the pebble blue color of the phone... only time will tell.

I doubt it... for $12-$15 on eBay.. no way. Now if they were from Samsung and cost $60 then yes.. maybe lol I wish though.. that would be cool.

Ah, I see. Still, maybe someone saw what the wireless charging back covers look like, and thought it looked cool and ripped it off before Sammy unveiled them. Who knows, they look great either way though!

I ordered the metal black replacement door almost 2 weeks ago. Should be here in a couple days. I don't like the blue. I planned on turning this phone straight black.

Case/battery door is being delivered in a week so I'll post pics and let you know what I think of the quality but as for the international version fitting the U.S. version.. I don't think there will be a problem.

If you watch Phil's review on the flip case... you'll see the inside of the battery cover seems to be exact and lines up with what's posted in the pic above.

I'm really interested to see how these work. I read in a thread over at XDA that the metal doors might/do cause radio/antenna issues with the phone.... but if they don't, I'm sure as hell getting one.

I personally am looking to get the "Flip Case", which by the way comes in blue. I like that it does not add much bulk to the phone.

I decided to drop $12 on one of these, too. I went with this color:

Just received mine today.. First impressions.. they look 100x better than the stock doors. Made from the same plastic as stock with a thin brushed metal/plastic backing surrounded by a nice chrome accent. The Samsung and Galaxy S III logos are raised/beveled up from the surface of the battery door... very well made.

Can't speak for if it effects signal quality at the moment... I would need a few days to test it in different areas... but I don't see it being a problem.. it feels like a VERY thin sheet of aluminum.

Here's some pics.. overall I'll give it two thumbs up.. they look amazing.. shipped from China and arrived in less then two weeks.

The pink pics are on my wife's Sprint GSIII... perfect fit.
