I bike and walk a lot and my Note 3 phone is always in my pocket. I sweat sometimes through my side pocket because when I take the phone out, the screen is smeared with sweat. LOL
But the problem is not the sweat but the home button which when press, turns the screen on and because it's kinda moving around in the pocket when bike or walk. When it unlocks the phone inside the pocket, random apps launches like all of the sudden my music player apps start playing music in my pants or the flash light turns on because I have the quick access icon on the front page. The point is, I don't like having my phone accidentally turn on in my pocket.
I don't like locking my phone because I like quick access when the screen comes on.
I've tried autoscreen app (better, simple, and doesn't drain the battery like the smartscreen app) which uses the proximity sensor to when the sensor is covered, the phone turns off but it doesn't prevent the home button from unlocking the phone. I looked around the settings on the phone and saw in accessibility settings, there is a dark screen option which says if the home key is pressed, the phone will not turn on but for some reason I can't select it. It's grayed out. Dark Screen is a great feature to have BUT I don't want the talkback option.
How can I enable Dark Screen without talkback option or is there any other options from preventing the phone from turning on in my pocket? Please, no troll or smartass comments.
